I need to take the carb off and clean the jets. The bike just is not running right (99 Springer Softail 8500 miles). At lower speeds it seems "ok" but when putting some power to it, the bike wants to bog down.
Does anyone have any tips when removing the carb off a 99 Springer Softail? What type of Solvent or cleaner should I use on the jets. I haven't taken a carb apart from a Harley as of yet, and I don't think it will be that difficult. However, just to save time, I thought when pulling the carb apart and you have suggestions on part replacement, cleaners to use, tricks, etc. I would like to hear it......it may save time in running back and forth to the parts counter.
