Except that more than 80% of accidents happen from in front of the bike, from like 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock. You're better off having a topless chick riding on the handle bars.

People that dont pay attention, get the message when they see the flashing light, and even people that do pay attention, but just dont care, think I am a cop, and noone wants to pull out in front of a cop.

Negatives:

1. Doesn't necessarily look cool. But I look cooler alive with a flashing light, than dead without one. And hell, I'm not at a rally, I'm just trying to get home from work. I just turn it off when riding into the rally.

2. At red lights people sometimes ask me if I know that my headlight is flashing. (A small price to pay, and besides, sometimes it's a hot chick.)

3. If I am riding behind someone and I forget to turn it off, they either slow down to the speed limit, so I am stuck slowing down too, OR they pull over to the side of the road. (The second one is sometimes a good thing.)
Which model do you use?

Ooops...

Best mod is to my brain. Have to remember that no matter what you put on the ride some are not going to see you. Ride with that in mind at all times. Don't tailgate so people see you behind that minivan. Don't do it because it's dangerous but it also blocks others from seeing you. Don't relax so much that you lose your high visual perception. People don't see other cars and trucks, how can we expect them to see us? Ride with that in mind and you'll be safer than using any other device. And I like my loud pipes that can be heard by other drivers no matter what some want to believe.

C. Numb you might be onto something there. I'll have to give it a shot this weekend

Okay...I contacted comagination.com about a headlight modulator. They are unfamilar with the Crossbones model and could not recommend which kit I needed.

I'm not sure what bulb I have in my headlight... 75W or 115W. All the manual says is an HD part number and it draws 4.7 amps.

Anyone know what bulb I have?...I'd like to order the modulator for my bike.

Loud pipes and using high beam when riding alone. Helps to be as ugly as I am too, people tend to look, gasp, and point alot.

I didn't know either. I got the 115W because I was getting the combo anyway, and it comes with either one for the same price. 115W will work with 75W. Besides, if we do have the 75W and want to upgrade to 115 later, the modulator will still work.

Where did you wire up the tailight module? (I'm assuming you did this on your crossbones)

Also, how hard was it to get the light sensor out of the headlight bucket?...that grommet where the wire goes in is pretty tight.
