Default cam cover

ok guys i know this is going to sound bad but im changing to chrome covers on the primary, cam and transs. i havent yet got my manual. i have done the primary side, now i am going to do the cam cover but im not real sure wich plug i need to drain from, its a 2006 softail standerd. any help would be great.

I don't believe you need to drain the oil. There will be a small bit of oil under the cam cover, regardless of an oil drain. If your taking the cam cover off, you might want to change the cam chain tensioner shoes at the same time. Maybe...

hey thank you guys. as hard headed as i am i went on and drained the oil, before reading the reply post, your right, only about 2 ounces came out, thanks again for the great help. now i just need to find the pattern and tork pounds, thanks again, man i need a manual
