08 Update Steering torque specs...
I know that there was an update in the service manual as far as some of the torque specs, And the Steering was one of them. Not sure when HD made the change on the prod. line but some bikes did not use the nut with the locking type washer.
There where many bikes having a clunk coming from the front end and they mixed this issue with replacing the lock washer with a much thicker washer and increasing the torque spec to over 100 ft. lbs
Does anyone have a print out of this update with the torque specifics ???

The update to 100 lbs tq is NOT for FB, Heritage, Deluxe. Use the fall away method per manual. Their is a vid floating around here showing the fall away method. Mine clucked every once in awhile. Tightened bolt per manual, which was only about 1/4 of a turn, no more clunk
