so, i've had the xbones for a couple of weeks, and now it's time to do some mods.
the only thing i've done to the bike so far was to swap out the factory seat for the 1925 and lowered the back end 2" with a burnout cycle kit. i'm gonna relocate the front turn signals and paint the pan under the seat to match the rest of the bike. i spoke with steve at russ wernimont today and he told me the're gonna have a new fender to replace the stock fender.
he said it should be ready in about 3 weeks.my problem is, that i don't know which handlebars and exhaust to go with? i've been looking at wild 1 dressers or nash grit ape hangers. as far as the exhaust i kinda like the patriot defenders or samsons hi-lo fishtails. roland sands flat tracker would be kewl, but i need to take the missus out for a spin. so, if anyone has any advice or ideas...
thanks, lou
Look at some of the serious bad@$$ x bones we have on this forum. Pick what you do like and what you do not. Then I would recommend coming back and asking about specific things. We have no idea what you bike looks like now or what direction you are wanting to go with your bones.
I have had my bike for nearly a year now and just know I have really decided what direction I want to go. Guess what I have spent a ton of money that I am about to pull off and put on ebay!!!

Welcome to the Madness! I am looking for the perfect apes for mine...then I am done.....er, well, almost done!
I am in the same boat with having to keep the bike passenger friendly...that limits your exhaust decisions...I love those upswept fishtails but Mama wouldnt!
Thanks! We just got married in Key West in May. Rented a Road King while we were there and rode all the way up to Key Largo one evening. Went back up to Bahia Honda the next day for some swimming. What a cool place!
