How hard is the install? I've worked on cars all my life but never a motorcycle. I will one day install a 250 kit one day or buy a rocker.

1. Buy a service Manual.
2. Do it yourself.
3. Feel proud that you did it yourself.
4. Ride badazz night train with 250 kit you did yourself.

If you have a service manual, lift, floor jack and a rightous set of tools you can do it pretty easy..

One great thing about doing the above is telling people you did the install yourself when they're giving you props on your ride. I wonder how much the dealers charge to install that kit, but I'd imagine it's at least 8 hours.

regards,

Dale

Sorry we're not closer. I installed my Heartland 250 Bobber kit and it's really not that difficult. Like stated above, a lift, a jack, a decent set of tools (I borrowed the specialty tools from a local shop), and a service manual. It can be done and you'll learn a lot about your bike too! Good luck!
