need help with lowering bolts
It would be easier if you posted your location, someone may actually help you out.
One thing is get a good measurement for the height to the fender. Then you can have an idea about how much it lowered when you put the shocks back on.
Is this supposed to be funny?
hand tools and scrap around the garage will get you there. Once removed, ya might need to heat
the shock bolts in order to swap out the hardware.......here is how I did mine this summer.
Step 1 - Find 2pcs of 2X4, a drill & door hole saw...then drill out two holes.

Step 2 - Under your work bench, car frame, fat girlfriend, etc...stack the 2X4s like so, then insert the shock into the holes you just made. Expand the jack so the other then of the shock touches the upper part of something solid. Then crank away at your floor jack till the shock compresses about 1/2 inch.

Step 3 - Take a small hook, paper clip, coat hanger & fish out the retaining clip in the shock. Then slowly lower your jack and remove the shock and disassemble. Simply do the steps in reverse once you change out the shock bolts.

Step 4 - Be happy that you did it yourself and kept your $$ in your pocket for beer.
Maybe I should post this as a "Low Tech" article...

I was going to just use my floor jack and my receiver hitch to compress the shock. I like the 2X4 idea better.
