Thanks... Why did you mentioned that you would put a cover? The difficulty of the project? or machanical issues?

Glad this thread came up, 'cause I was wonderin the same thing. Thinking about a cover, but not sure. Does anyone have a good pic of what an installed cover looks like?

Those of you who put on a cover. Is there any noticable heat issues?

No heat issues from the cover.

I just installed a chrome inner this summer....With the help of buddy it went smooth.....I did a few other things while I was in there so I made a weekend out of it....

You will need a manual.....and mind all the torque specs.

An electric impact gun will help remove the comp nut.

Forget the covers- go with the real thing.

If you are not comfortable with the thought of pulling everything apart, then pay someone who knows what they're doing. I know it was a little intimidating when I did mine, but I'd do it again instead of buying a cover.

To me, the cover kits look cheap (everyone has their own opinion).

You get what you pay for.

I went with the cover. Good quality, good fit w/ minimal wrenching and great price. No differences in operating tempertures.

Never seen the cover and might be a good option but sure glad I have the real deal.
