My standard defense of my '05 Heritage is that if I wanted to go fast, I'd have bought a 'Busa!
After my dirtbike racing, I'm afraid I tend to do what the bike wants to do. I don't need every cop in Atlanta looking for me, so I'll keep the tractor.
Hang around or come back! you ain't going anywhere! I have to crawl on my R1100Rs BMW 6 or 8 times a year. the love of Speed will never get out of you blood!
Congrats on the new scoot. I also have a past with the sport bikes. I still love them, its just that they are so fast and the truth is, it almost seems as if you cant keep it under 100mph on those things. I defitnetly see another one in my future, but I'll still have the Harleys in the garage.
The new busa is bad ***. I saw a lowered Orange/Black one the other day at the local hangout with a GSXR 1000 Rear Fairing with small LED's in place of the bigger turn signals and something like a 240-250 tire in the rear.
Simply bad *** !!! Im not a fan of the wide tire kits on the sport bikes, I guess since it was only a 240-250 it still looked proportionate to the rest of the bike. Did I mention it was bad *** !!!
Ride safe,
I test rode a buell 112cr for half a day when the dealer was blowing them out the door for 8K. In addition to finding myself doing three digits much too often, my wrist were sore after about 2 hours.
Fun, absolutely, kind of like high grade explosives.
Hey, just a short note to say goodbye and it's been fun. Stopped in to the local Suzuki dealer today to see what the big yearend sale was all about and ended up buying a new Busa. Still love my Train, but still had the need for speed from my old crotch rocket days! The Busa is just AWSOME. I know it is not everybodys cup of tea, but it was time for a change. Everybody have a great X-mas.
If you change your mind and want to come back, remember that Harley is giving $500 over blue-book on metric trade-ins until January 31st. With the depreciation on your new Busa, this means you can get up to $1500 in trade.
I'm kidding. I used to move between a Harley and a BMW until I was able to afford both.

HHAHAHAHAHA....I just sold my Busa a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy paying those insurance premiums!!!
