New chrome front 6 piston PM Caliper installed today
Here is the mod of the day , for my bike. New six piston chrome PM caliper.
I test drove it and I'm not impressed. It does not stop as good as others I have tried with PM calipers. I was told I had to let the brake pads wear to the rotor a little while. Here is a picture. Sorry its kind of dark.

That caliper adds a small amount of unsprung weight to the front end. I wonder if you could tell me whether you detected any small difference in handling during your test ride. Certainly looks killer, though.

Actually it feels lighter, the stock caliper feels like cast iron and the PM is aluminum. Don't hold me to the metal content of the stock caliper, it just feels heavier. I guess the PM brake pads need to break in a little, because it really does'nt feel that much stronger of a stop than the stock caliper with Lyndall pads. I will drive it Tuesday a while and see how it does.
Very nice Rocky..I like em...Yes it may be the pads, i also run Lyndall's and when i first installed tham they felt slick. It goes away at about 75 miles or so. Maybe less maybe more depending on your riding style.
So did you do front and rears? Also what was your cost?

It sounds like it may need to be bled more if it is not stopping well. I find the 6 piston PM front caliper far superior to the stock front calipers any day of the week. Another recommendation for the Lyndall z plus pads in the new caliper as well.
