Damn man, your bike is looking good. My swing arm already got pretty jacked up, mostly my fault for not protecting it and tightening the zips enough. Oh well, guess I just wont ever take it off.
I am going to do the whole write up on my blog, www.chasinwhitelines.blogspot.com so it will be there in detail. I also have a link to the site in my sig. It's just a way for me to chronicle the evolution of my bike and also keep track of trips and so forth. No profit or advertising or anything.
Very nice job. I think there is money to be made with a kit this style. I'll look into making my own but it might be hard to find SAE threaded stuff here to put it together.
I'd probably prefer to have the plate inside the bag so when its off it would look cleaner.

I was about to work on something like this too. I have duals so I need the mount to sit a little higher. I was going to use the same two holes up top and just use longer screws and spacers to keep it off the frame. What did you bolt it to on the bottom? It looks great!

I could probably put some hardware (coupler nuts, etc.) in the mail to you if you can't find it. Not sure where you live? It was about $18 worth of hardware:
2 15/16" coupler nuts
2 15/16" bolts
4 chrome 15/16 button head bolts
4 large washers
5 small washers
