Is there a way to mill the fender mount on the '07 Fatboy lower sliders and use spacers to mount the fender center on an '04 Fatboy?
Is this the only difference between '00-'06 and '07? In your opinion, would it be worth the modifications needed since there are so many '07's chrome sliders on the market for cheap?
I do not believe that the difference is the fender mounts, it is the axle size, and nothing else. I have a set on my 2000 Heritage, and the only thing I changed was the axle and wheel bearings.
I thought I heard that axle size was different as well so you are now verifying that tidbit. I'm not afraid to purchase bearings and an axle since I want a different front wheel anyway.
I checked the fender mounts and the '07 mounts are different side by side by approx a half an inch...my Fatboy fender mounts are equal.
I have heard that the '07 front wheel and fender are offset approx half an inch and I can verify that the fender mounts are not equal. Weird huh?
The front wheel is offset on teh 07's to accommodate the 200 rear tire on the bike. IT would seem that you could use your stock spacers with the newer fork setup as long as you get the newer axle and bearings as your bike probably has a 150 or 160 on it for the rear tire.
harely goodies, correct. Theoretically I could but my fender will be off a half an inch by the looks of the 07 fender mounts. Is there a fix for that dilemma?
