Happy New Year Everyone! I finally settled on a new solo seat for my 08' Deluxe - Danny Gray Buttcrack Solo (see attached). This was the only DG solo seat that fits the 08' Deluxe. I want to hear your feedback on this seat and if the buttcrack ridge running down the middle gets uncomfortable.
It is also taking a hella-long time to get here in part because of holidays and I ordered it from Harley (had to use my HD gift card) - anyhoo, I ordered it Dec 18th. and they are saying maybe next week (2 weeks for a seat?? come on!). Anyone else experience the lengthy delays from DG? (hell, my ride wright wheels were custom built and arrived sooner!)
Seat is gonna look great on your sled. I really dig your wheels. I thought long and hard about that same color combo (black spokes on chrome) when ordering mine. How about posting some more pics of that beast? Its cold and nasty here in Ohio....could use some Deluxe ****.
I like it. I also like how it hangs over the tank bib a bit, looks sharp that way.
I do not have answers to your question but I do have one of my own. The thumbnail you posted, are they saying that is an 08? The mounting screw/hole is not located on the 08. The rear two are but that single one they are using is not there.
Are you going to need to drill into your fender to make this fit or are they providing a different install kit for the 08's?
There is a "t-bar" piece that is included in the seat kit that bolts onto the two fender bolts, the "leg" of the t-bar extends for that one bolt attachment that you see.

I will post a few more pics.
My C&C seat was the same way,had the T mounting bracket.
