I always carry a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle of water/vinegar mix to clean windshield at each gas up. Since you are only going 1500 miles, I would take a small spray bottle of whatever you use to clean your windshield and a dozen paper towels, doesn't take up that much space. Don't forget a spare key for the fork lock if you should lock your fork and then loose your key it could be a real problem. Ride safe and have an enjoyable trip.
