Reason I need it quick is cuz the parts are at the powder coaters and will be started in the next day or so.. lol
So I'm changing the coil and dash on my Rocker to a deuce dash and 08 coil setup.. New coil cover is wrinkle black (cus I thought that's what I wanted to do with the dash)... Dash was going to be wrinkle with the 5" aluminum spun face speedo from an SE Fatbob.. Bike is painted matte/flat black.. Now I'm starting to second guess my wrinkle balck choice and thinking I might should go with the same balck as the OEM switch covers..
Have you thought about doing something like the black chrome that they are using on the new fatboy low? I think the wrinkle black wouldnt look right because of the rough texture. A denim black wouldnt be bad. Love the bike though, good luck!
thinking the same as the bike is, matte black, on the dash.
Just thinking on the oil tank,, have U thought about doing it the same as Ur dash...
that would IMO look good with all the other work U've done.
so far U've done a nice job, post up some pics when U get the new stuff done..
The point of the wrinkle was to add a little contrast to the matte look.. Going to the 30% matte (same as switch covers) will give it a little smoother look but not add much contrast.. After looking at multiple matte street bobs with the wrinkle dash I really liked the look but now I'm not so sure it's the best option if I decide to change up finishes down the road..
Thanks for the input guys.. I think I'm going to go with the switch cover black.. It might not be the "best" look at this time but I think it will give me more flexability down the road without re-coating things..
As for the oil bag, I haven't seen a black setup that I really liked.. If I go the facotry gloss route it doesn't match the matte finish.. If I go matte it won't match up very well if I go to a gloss paint in the future.. Plus I think it starts to create a "blackhole" in engine area.. That's just my opinion though..
