harley silencer grips are listed for 96-and later bikes. anyone know if they would (or why they wouldn't) work on the earlier evo bikes? I think harley just doesn't bother to list parts for going further back anymore.
they have some grips on their website that have a part number from 1988, but are listed as fitting 96 and up.
harley really tries to disown anyone with an older bike. good thing I don't rely on them for much anyway.
I'm betting the silencer grips (hard to admit I like a "custom" part from HD) will fit my 85 FXWG.
