RSD Springer Headlight Relo Bracket

RSD Springer Headlight Relo Bracket
Just finished doing this simple mod and looks great. One question, for those that have done this, do you remove the bracket at the top where the headlight originally mounted to? Or just leave it. My inclination is to remove to clean it up, but didn't know if there were complications involved. Thanks for any advice.

I removed the original bracket.
Did you locate the RSD bracket on the upper or lower shock mount? I had zero clearance (to the shock) when I installed mine on the lower mount. To increase the clearance, I'd have to angle the headlight down. Not an option.
I ended up installing the RSD bracket on the top shock mount. Looks cool.

I'll try to take some pix tonight. I have pretty good clearance. I saw your earlier posts, and luckily I don't seem to have this problem, at least by appearances. I also relocated my turn signals, put on my JayBrake mirrors and grips (modified by Duane Ballard) so I'll try to post all that tonight. I think I'll remove the original bracket tonight.

Thanks. Can't wait for spring so I can put on my SOKUSTOM seat and hook up the TTS and do some tuning. Plan on taking a full set of pix in a couple of months of all the mods I will have done this winter. Ride safe,
