... The 39"'s look great but stick out so far that they really hamper your lean angle.
Bullshit. I can tear my boards off before even getting close to my tips. They dont get lower as they get longer (The only way your statement would make sense)

I am speaking from personal experience here. Do you ride twisty roads? It may have to do with what kind of a suspension setup you have, but I don't post something like that without first hand knowledge. I appreciate your comment, but in my case it is not BS. If you are only going around corners you'll be fine, however with longer pipes you can scrape with something as simple as going out of a deep driveway. Keep in mind my bike has air ride and if I forget to air it up before a driveway it is really going to scrape. As far as the twisty roads are concerned, think about an off camber 90* turn going uphill and tell me you can make it without scraping. My experience is that I cannot, granted that I like to ride in a rather spirited fashion. I'll post a pic of my long shots that have been scraped to hell too, and they are not nearly as long as 36" pipes.

Ok, here is a pic. You are right that a floorboard will scrape first, but the the pipes will still scrape if you lean far enough. Anyway, here is a pic of some long shots I had on my bike. they didn't scrape until I hit the twisties. These are about the same length of the 26" fishtails. The other thing I forgot to say is that Samson fishtails st really low compared to say Vance and Hines true duals.

I've posted pics of me racing street, dirt and motard. I'm pretty sure I know how to make a bike turn
I can post a pic of my bike resting on the primary with the pipes still not dragging if i need too... long pipes do not affect lean angle. They can scrape with extreme elevation changes but this can easily be handles with a little forethought to angle of approach.

Point taken Joe. It seems I got up on the wrong side of the bed. Just speaking from personal experience. I think my period is over. LOL. If you were offended in any way I would like to man up and apologize for any negative tone. Be well. Ride on.

Why all the closed curtans Dr. VTWIN ..can we get a full pic of the bike? ....That scrub on that pipe looks like a curb scrub to me. Seeing as the mount is on the inside same as the scrub....Don't take this question in the wrong way but im just asken how a scrub got in that position. Just asken....

Haha Man I know what you mean. I went from a rocket to a Street Bob and mucked up my exhaust and primary my first day out. I'm going to have to be real conscious about the floorboards on my Xbones now. The 129 Dragon in Tennessee isn't very forgiving in the corners!
