Sorry to hear that, I figured the rider may have been thrown off before it crossed over the line

I assume that the problem must have been observed by another person
that was riding riding with the deceased?

Did inspection of the bike yield any useful info or was there too much
damange from the crash to diagnose any problems that existed before the impact?

Oh My!!!
My scoot sat in the shop for two weeks (untouched) due to a slight wobble in the front end at right about 40mph.
If you just accelarate passed 40mph, you won't notice it, but if I let off the throttle back down, at just above the 40mph mark I can feel the bars oscillate (wobble).

I went back and forth with the dealer that I believe was "afraid" to touch it, and H-D tech support who basically said "change the tire" which I ordered the dealer to do and they did. Wobble is still there, I've just been riding the thing.

So, I had better get my hands on a svc manual and look into this Neck bearing adjustment then?
The bike has all of 3500 miles on it.

Any advice on this?

Glad I found this post. I just bought a 05 FB and at ninety miles an hour the bars started getting some headshake. So I let off the throttle. It's a new bike whats up with that. Have a buddy with the big engine and he runs a hundred twenty with no trouble. Do you think they will fix it under warranty?

They should nave to fix it under warrantee, more than likely it's a head bearing adjustment.

Just to update everyone on the situation, it has not yet been determined what caused the accident. When I first started this thread, I was still pretty shook up. I am meeting with an H-D claims rep today to provide a statement. Physical evidence will not be available do to the extent of damage. I would recommend all motorcyclists get the service manual for their own bike and do as much of their maintenance as possible. It’s fun, it’s easy, and you know every bolt is tight.
