Howdy everyone, finally arrived to the Harley world this past weekend so figured it was time to stop lurking and register. I just picked up 2000 Deuce. I'm sort of a noob to Harleys for the most part, buddies have been riding forever. It has the stock seat i believe on it or it could be aftermarket. The only thing i dont like is the rear seat has a high profile and for the amount of riding my girl will be doing with me i'm wondering how the Badlander would compare? I can already tell its a lower profile but I'm wondering based on comfort. I can post up a pic if needed. Thanks and glad to be in on the "secret" that is owning a Harley finally!
Got an 01 deuce, I could go about 50 miles on the stock seat and that was it. Put a badlander on, now I can go about a 100 without stopping. Can't say for sure but your girl prolly wont like the badlander.
Best seat I have found is a Corbin young guns (for me) haven't done any long rides 2 up with this seat. Also Deuce seats are 'Deuce only" no other soft tail seat will fit.(so you know).

ditto on the Corbin young guns...I have one on my softail custom and i love it !!!
I swap between the stock set on my '04 Heritage and a Badlander. When riding 2-up the stock seat is best, especially for longer rides. The stock driver seat is very comfortable to me. I have detachable bags and backrest so if I want to strip it down for local cruising I use the badlander. You sit lower in the bike but it also results in my feet being further forward. I ride with my feet out on the engine guard pegs most of the time so I notice it. The badlander is firmer but not bad comfort wise. Looks cool too!
I have a badlander for my train, my wife cant stand it for long rides. It's either the badlander or the solo though. She does understand that it is much more comfortable than the fender. LOL!!!!
