Not for me better to be dead than a veggie. Let those who ride decide though.

Personal choice.... The ONLY time I voluntarily wear a helmet is when it's below 30°F, because it's warmer.
Seriously? Where did you get that statistic? Kinda sounds like yer trying to convince your self to me...

I've ridden for many years... I never wore a helmet in the 60's or early 70's. Then the helmet law came. Now, I always wear one, no matter what state I'm in. I've gone down 3 times in that last 25 or so years, & had a bad scuff on my helmet each time !!!

BUT... I despise being legislated into wearing one !!!

We don't have a helmet law in Hawaii... half the time I'll wear one though... most of the guys I ride with are military and they are required to wear one when riding. So not to temp them to remove theirs I wear one... but mine is not DOT approved.

Me too!!!! I wear one ALL of the time, "BUT THAT"S MY CHOICE"!!! Being mandated to wear one is complete B.S.!!!! Wearing a helmet should be a personal choice. Next thing you know, they be telling you what kind you can wear (DOT)??? I guess the government or states is just doing it for our own good.

the helmet saved 2 lives last year and one this year when the rider went end over end and broke 9 ribs and collar bone. head was saved by helmet
i personally have had 3 car accidents and 2 i landed on my head. the last one i lost the helmet and laced up boots. i was rear ended when i was stopped and the car was doing 75.
