This is a very broad question. What kind of look do you want? Do you want more power or are you just after increased sound to your liking? What is your budget like for pipes? This could go any way. Answer these questions and we can figure something out for you. How about pipes that look like the ones in this pic? http://i891.photobucket.com/albums/a...ingers0011.jpg
If you get slip ons, 9 times out of 10 people will change over to all new pipes within a year. Go ahead and get Vance and Hines BigShots Long.
They are loud, but almost all after market pipes are loud. The Longshots get the sound more to the rear of the bike out of your ear. If you want quieter pipes you will have to get different baffles for the pipes you buy (Quality Quiet Thunder Monster Baffles).

Pipes are something only the owner of the machine can decide on. However my $.02 would be the cost issue between slip ons and a full set of pipes. I put slip ons on my Softail and was happy with them (Rush) but in hindsight I wish I had put the money I spent on the slip ons towards a full set of pipes. I only had the slip ons less than a year before I pulled the trigger on my V&H BSS. The slips on are catching dust in the garage now.
I like the "old school" flavour, so no fancy curved pipes or 2-1's
I like to still get the best performance possible, so no short shots or drag pipes
So far I like the
V&H Double barrell
V&H straigh shots HS slip ons
Samson_Legend_Series_Hi-Lo_Exhaust with fish tails.
Those are all good choices, but outof the three I'd Choose the Double barrel's. Let me know if you wnat pricing and I'll send you a PM. Are you going to do a complete stage 1 with air filter and tuner as well, or just pipes for now?

I doubt it, although everyone I know who has those pipes run the Vance and Hines quiet baffle. The sound question is really very subjective. I have not hear the BCT QQ baffle as of yet in person.

Yes I am going to do the compete stage 1 (or similar) I will pm you for a price.
BTW, what is the diff between the double barrels and the BigShotStaggered? they look almost identical?
