Early fall I traded my 07 FXSTC on a 010 Ultra Classic. I only traded it because my wife suggested that if I wanted a new one it had to go.
I checked at the dealer and they still had it. I talked to my wife and said that I really wanted the bike. She said " Why did you trade it then" We drove straight to Reiman's HD in Kewanee , Illinois ( the best dealer in the mid-west). I took her to dinner first of course.
The owner said he would let me have it back for the amount I traded for plus the 5K service that they did. I don't think many dealers would do that. I did have to get a new title and lic.
I will never let it go now. To me the FXSTC looks like a motorcycle should and is very comfortable ride.
This was in the AM when I went to trade.
You can see by the shadows that this was latter in the day when I returned with the Ultra.
The Softail is at the dealers as he will store it for me until better weather.
You have an amazing wife! Dude take that gal on a weekend getaway. BTW I grew up in the Quad Cities and agree that Reiman's HD is a great dealer. Looking forward to the day we I have a pair of HD's in the garage!! Lucky bastard!
I went the other way. I traded an Ultra for a '07 FXSTC back in '06.
I totally agree with you, the FXSTC is what a bike should look like. I bought it for the styling. I damn sure didn't buy it for the engine. The 96B sucks as far as I'm concerned.
I miss the '95 Ultra sometimes in the cold weather but other than that I'm glad I traded.
