Default What's the difference between these 2??

I want a new shifter. But why should I pay for a heel toe shifter if I plan on talking off the heel shifter? I know the first one is for forward controls...but...if the spline is the same why wouldn't it work..Thanks in advance.

the spline is the same. the extra dough is for the heel portion. however I do believe the spline is longer and you may want to purchase the spacer that covers the part of the spline that would normally be covered bt the heel shifter, but if you arent picky about things like that then itll work fine without the spacer.

You bet..I planned on the spacer or the eliminator or whatever it's called but it says it only fits the fx models. Why wouldn't it fit my floorboards, other than the slight curve it should be able to fit and when you use the shaft cover it should be trick??

I have noticed over the years that alot of times, not always but alot, those model specific discriptions are because thats what h-d intended the design for.not because they wont fit others. also youll find alot of those "model specific parts" in the multi fit section as well.

Yeah what he said.... the Moco is funny about that stuff. Even if it might fit with a little modification they say no.
