A crossbones was higher up on my list than a custom when I was shopping. I sat down and made a list of all the mods I'd like to do to each bike to make it what I want.
In the end, I would have been changing the bones to make it fit like the custom. Love the looks of the bones, but it wasn't the ride I was looking for.
Ride them both if you can, and you'll notice a big difference.
Ride them both they are both nice but different, one should jump out at you. I liked the custom, forward controls, king and queen seat, more of a chopper feel. The bones was springer front, fatter front tire, bobber style.
For me it was the Bones.
Different bikes altogether. Depends on what kinda riding you're gonna do I think. The custom is gonna be better for long trips where the bones is more of a day ride or weekender bike. I chose the custom.
