RE: Can you get the Cross Bones without floor boards?
You can install forward controls if you want to. I had never owned a bike with floor boards until I bought my Bones, but I have to admit that I love them. My legs don't get uncomfortable on long rides as I can move my feet forward and back on the boards. If you give them a chance, you might find that you like them.
RE: Can you get the Cross Bones without floor boards?
give yourself a chance with them.... once you do, you'll never take them off. my Fat Boy is the fisrt bike I had ever ridden with floorboards - and there's NO way these bad boys are ever coming off.

1st of all...agapsdiver, you need to post more often. i love your avitar.
2nd if you buy the bike with the floorboards and dont want them, there was apost maybe 2 days ago, another HDF member was looking to buy a set. just sell them to him and get the forward controls. with that said. i am on my 5th harley and wouldn't trade my floorboards for anything. i know there are guys that say bikes without the boards look cooler and that they are not uncomfortable on long trips, but i can tell you, the freedom to move your feet around on a looooooooong ride speaks volumes.
RE: Can you get the Cross Bones without floor boards?
I'am spoiled - I love my boards. On another note, sat on a Crossbones today and that seat is cOoL. Didn't think I would like it but it's real nice fursur.

First off agree with what everyone has said about the boards. Very comfy. The one thing I would also mention is the fact with the boards you get the heel to toe shifter. I don't know about everyone else's thoughts, but that is the cats meow! That alone is worth keeping the boards.
