Default X-Bones vs Softail Custom

I am really starting to like the Cross Bones - rode one last Friday. I like the Custom too, but have not ridden one yet. Is the Bones going to scrape the boards often - as I have said in other posts, I am not looking for a sport bike, but I do want a little lean angle. The Custom has way more lean, but I am still liking the looks of the Bones (they both look kick a$$).

It's all about what you plan on doing mods wise to either bike and has the best platform. Which one will you need to modify the least to make it to your liking? I like to lean into the turns pretty good too, so I bought some forward controls for my Xbones and am doing away with the floorboards as they will scrape pretty easy if you get down in the turns and can be a safety issue in that case. Either way, both are nice bikes. Since I AM BIASED, I say get the Crossbones!

man that is one tuff decision. as said both are very cool in their own way,I would surely be happy with either and always regret not choosing the other.

Go with your gut brother!!!! I hear it talking and it's saying BONES!!!!!!!! LOL! Like Skipper said look a both and try and see which bike fits your style most and which would lend its self to that style once you start to add mods. I've kept my floorboards on mine and have layed it deep in a couple turns and they scrape but nothing too bad. Plus forward controls is always an option. Good luck and keep us posted with your decision!

Since the Custom came back I've been telling myself that 'it' would be my next Harley after my Sportster... then the CrossBones came along (see below for my choice)

But, I still think the Custom is an awesome looking ride. I test road one several times and that seat is like sitting on a cloud.
