My buddy was into his for around 16K.....Powder coated tins with pinstriping, barebones look...no fancy paint.....Nice bike.....

They can charge that much because people will pay.....Perewitz is the same...75-100K....Awesome bikes....

If people stop paying that much for a "shop" build, the prices will come down.

Some cool pics and interesting reading here.

I think it is Hot bike mag this month that has a cover bike homebuilt on a CFL frame...bike nicknamed "Bushido" or something like that. Pretty bad ***, although he used an ultima, and I think that bike was screaming for an S&S Shovel clone. I don't like the extreme raked 20' long "choppers" at all, and can't stand the OCC types, but somehow Jesse James was able to make it through the marketing sellout and purple flame-plus-chrome phase somewhat unscathed. Respect to him...dude made a fortune and got Sandra Bullock. Not too bad of a setup there!

Oh, and as a side note...his signature line of work pants are superior to dickies in every way...and 15.00 at wallyworld. Try um!

I would never pay for one of those high priced bikes but wold consider building my own. The El Diablo would be my choice of frames.

If I could afford a shop built bike, I would buy 1 in a heartbeat. I will build me one oneday, yes I will. The reason it cost so much is because it cost 3x as much if you have say in how it looks and runs. They are the best around.

That is exactly the main reason I would toss such coin for a tailored suit. A slick looking chopper fitting like a glove.

I would love to have one of Jesse's scoots...

When he first came out on Discovery a L-O-N-G time ago before all the other "chopper hype" I was working at a paint and body shop. My buddy (the owner) was trying to teach me how metal was formed using an English wheel. During the show they did on Jesse he discussed using an English wheel to form metal. I was stoked so I got on the net and just wrote a quick little....... hey saw your show on Discovery, cool how you use an English wheel type thing, and sorry to hear about your dog getting killed. I never expected in a million years to hear anything back, but low and behold about a week later, I recieved a response from the shop stating appreciation for acknowleding the things I did and good luck in the future. May not have been Jesse himself, but you know I am sure like many other people he has had in his life, I would like to think the email could have been inspired by his attitude of being proud to be a metal man just trying to make it.

I have always loved what he does, good luck trying to build one of your own with one of his frames now days as those things are getting scarce since he stopped selling parts. I know that Heartland now sells his hell bent pipes and trying to pin down a frame is not an easy chore or inexpensive.

I know it isn't a WCC but I got a Sucker Punch Sally that I absolutely love which I wanted to have a similiar style.

Weird, I just posted a pic in the Nightrain pic thread of a rear end of a WCC i had seen a while back and then see this thread.
I dig his stuff, would like to have one.
Looking to incorporate some of what he does to my bike. I have done that from a couple other builders though too.
