Orange County Choppers was one of the best things to ever happen to Harley Davidson - All the TV exposure and hype brought in a ton of new buyers..... (including many 1st time riders) Many of those OCC inspired fans will want a Rocker.
I like the Rocker but my first reaction ? It's a pseudo chopper that a buyer can roll out the door and know that his ride has an established company likeHarley Davidson standing behind it.
I would have to agree to a point, the point being the show should have ended three years ago, now it's just silly crap on how much crap you stick on the same old frames (that they buy) motors (that they buy) paint work (that they don't do) etc. etc. etc.

99% of all bike builders put bikes together with frames, that they buy, motors that they buy, paint work that is sourced out.
Come on wake up.. you think every guy builds his own frame and motors ablah blah blah...
WAIT!!!!! your probably wanting to refer to Jesse James and those hand built.... no wait.... Thos ebikes he builds with Frames and fenders MADE IN CHINA......
However the tv shows have been great for the exposure motorcycling has been given in general. The entire field has grown so much since pre 2000. There are a lot more people into motorcycles now and that only menas good things for the customer in the way of new products, more dealers etc....
My hat is off to OCC and JJames for doing their own thing and being successful at it. So it is not all custom fabricated. What is nowadays? Not much. But like I said previously I would rather have motorcycling be more popular as it is now than not.

I agree OCC really helped bring biking out to folks who had supressed the urge for a really long time. I like the rocker but for me its not practical....it should boost some sales for those that want but couldn't afford the chopper look.

For me the Rocker serves another purpose. Riding a few hundred miles from home and being able to get service work done anywhere. A 250 wide tire bike with a HD warrenty is very attractive. Thats one thing why i have not gotten a chopper. They always seem to breaking down.
