My guess is that in 95% of your tubed tire flats you're going to be SOL. Just carry good tow insurance and hope the flat happens during business hours of the nearest dealer.

Fix a flat has gotten home before. I carry it in the saddlebag. Makes a mess but it can be cleaned up later.

Prior to a long trip I bought a kit from Stop and Go just in case I got a flat. I had a leak in my front tire and it worked great. If I had it to do over again I'd probably get the one with the CO2 cartridges just because it would be faster and easier.

Wink

I have that Slime air compressor from Wal Mart...and a plug kit. Never used it yet, either, but carry it.
Got one tubed tire left to get rid of...got the alumimum factory wheel ready for the front of the Sportster, but the original tire is looking too good to replace rite now. It will probably be the one to get me!!!! Other bike has been changed over to solid wheels.
Good Luck.........Pete

Default tubeless fix solution for flat?

What about a solution for TUBE tires on a Heritage Softail Classic? I have an 08 and just got my first flat today...sad to sit on the side of the road, waiting for HD Roadside Assistance while the day was flying by. Fix a Flat didn't work, air didn't work..had it towed. I'm also considering replacing the tires if there is a feasible solution.

Getting rid of the Tube is the only real solution. That means new Wheels.. Tubed tires can be fixed...but do you carry a jack and tools to remove the wheel to get it done? I sure don't..
