Default FXST & windshield

I'd like to get a response from anyone who has a late model FXST with a windshield. I put an HD compact 19" quick detach on my 06 and had too much buffeting/turbulance around my head. I even cut it down to 16 1/2" inches and it was only a little better, to the extent that I still cannot use it. I'm 6' tall. If you have a windshield on your FXST and don't have the same problem I'd like to hear what windshield your using etc.

Thanks in advance.

I just put a HD Low Profile (17") on my FLSTFI and have no problems. It seems that the turbulence (buffeting ) is about 2 inches above my head based on what I feel with my hand at 75 mph. I am 6'2"

I have the HD standard height quick detachable windshield and have no problems with it. I am 5'-8" tall. I have taken it off for the summer because it's too hot to ride with it on. I will use it when the weather cools down or if I plan on riding on the interstate.

Ok, when your riding do you see over or through the windshield? In other words; where is your straight ahead eye level compared to the top of the windsheild?

I have a winvest 14 x 14 it has some turbulance but not as bad as some. i would imagine the bigger size 16 x 16 would be a lot better.

If I sit straight up the top of the shield will be about 2" below my eyes. I normally lean a little forward so I am looking through the shield.
