I am trying to remove the front fender on my 05 springer classic and cant figure out how to get the son of a bitch off. The axle covers are doing it to me and the fender is connected directly to it. Not sure if it is a twist off or if i am supposed to pry or what, tried both lightly and to no avail. When the fender moves the covers move, so i am confused as all hell. if anyone has any information that could aid me on this pain in the *** journey that is currently at a crossroads it would be much appreciated.
Bungee the brake caliper to the forks so it's not flapping around scratching stuff.
Make note(pictures) of where the spacers are in the axle.
Remember the fender light wire. It should be easy enough to disconnect at the harness without removing the tank. Unless you just want to snip it....I personally hate doing that.
