I had one on my Vulcan and it was great. Almost sat level with the floorboard. The on on the somttail has to be so high that you have to lift your whole leg to use it. I've kind of quite using it too. Probably going to get rid of it.

I just took the heel shifter off my wifes fat boy and put the decorative cover harley sells. I guess its all in what your use too, it confused the he!! outta me trying to ride it...

Once you get used to it it's like having an extra nad. You'd miss it if you knew any better.

I grew up with dirt bikes and hated the heel shifter when I got my Harley - I got used to it pretty quick and now it's second nature.

I moved the toe shifter to the outter end of the spline, then used a piece of 1" black PVC to cover the exposed spline. cost me about a buck. works great with my extended floorboards.

i use mine most of the times as i find it easy to hold down the shifter and keep it down until the next shift

Mine is a pain to get into neutral, always has been. Light tap with the heel in 1st works every time.

love that heel toe shifter...wouldn't have it any other way. The way I look at it, why would you want to use the top off your boot to shift? That doesn't seem natural to me anymore.
