Default Engine dieing

i know this is not the proper forum for this question but this section gets a lot of visits. riding yesterday and last nite my engine would die every time i went to idol at intersections. Now the temps were around 28 - 30 degrees. This was on a 2 and half hour trip at speeds ranging from 55 - 65 mph. (YEA IT WAS COLD) Does this have anything to do with it. Its an 08 fatty with 21,000 miles on it with no previous issues. Whats going on help me if you can.

I had a similar issue with my 08 Heritage. Come up to a stop sign, pull in clutch, bike would stall. Start it back up with the start button and next stop it would do it again. I found if I turned the switch off and restarted it I wouldn't have the problem for a much longer time. Finally took it to the dealer and they said it needed an updated flash to the ecm. Haven't had the problem since. Also corrected a pinging and intermittent high idle problem I was having.
