Default Molded Hard Saddlebag Question

I have a 2002 Fatboy and would like to purchase the new hard molded saddlebags. What options do I have for tail light relocation? Does anyone already have them that could email me a picture of the tail lights with bags installed?

These are from Harley. There are aftermarket hard bags too...
You can see the turnsignals a bit there in those photos but not too clearly. Maybe someone will post a better picture for you...

Here is what they look like on the Dyna...if it helps.

Default RE: Molded Hard Saddlebag Question

BClem,

Thanks for the reply. The bags I am looking at are the Harley hardbags in the picture of the Fatboy you included. I have seen the hardbags on Sportsters which I like, on Deuces which I like, but I have also seen them on Softtail Standards and they have to relocate the lights on a rod that comes out between the fender and the bag. Personally I do not like that. I have the full instruction sheet from Harley on the installation of the hardbags for the Fatboy and it shows that rod also. However since the Fatboy does not have a bobtail fender it will definitely look different.

I really like the lights on the new Roadking Custom. I checked into using them but the Fatboy fender does not have the same indentations as the Roadking or Heritage. I have thought about a molded piece of rubber with indentations for mounting. I think that may work. I just hate to order the bags which are about $1000 and not figure out what I will do with the lights first. Just in case I did not like them I also do not want to pay the restocking fee to Harley.

Thanks again for your reply. Hopefully someone has these bags installed and can send a good picture.
