Rakthi,

Did you have to change your stock cables when you went to the narrow beach bar? I'm looking at getting the narrow beach bars as well.

Thanks!!

Have the narrow beach bars on my '05 CVO Fatboy, I think they're a great look.

Hmmm, Dealer told me I needed new cables when I put the Narrow Beach Bars on my Cross Bones. Going to pin him down on that one and find out if he was just gouging or what. Here is what they look like on mine. Have yet to ride it but they felt good on a friends Fatboy.

Ye, They told me the same thing. The cables are pretty exspensive and I thought I would give the stock ones a try. Low and behold they work great. Next time I was at the dealor I told him they didn't need to be changed and all he could say was ( HMMMM ).

I went with Burly Beach Bars on my '06 and was able to use my stock risers. I really like the look and feel. Beach bars look really good on the nostalgic Deluxe.

Like all the guys above stated, yes you can keep the stock cables, but I just got me the shorter set to clean up the front a bit. The cables do stick out a bit, although only you will notice.

Default My 2 cents

I just installed the Klock Werks bar on my 07 Fatty. I had to have a local independent shop help me as I didn't have the tools to disassemble all the electrical harness. All my stock cables fit just fine, but IMHO, I think it's worth the money to change out the brake line.

If you haven't found out yet, you'll need to change your stock risers or purchase an adapter. The diameter of the Mentel bar reduces at the mounting point. (Not sure of measurements....1.25 to .75"??) In short, you'll need new risers or the adapter. I was in a time crunch (I'm inpatient) and opt'd for the adapter. I would be happier if I bought lower risers, looks cleaner I think. Post some photos when you get it done.
