I had a Mustang Solo on my Heritage with the adjustable backrest pad. Very comfy, so I got one for my Road King Classic. It's just as comfy and the wife loves her Mustang rear seat.
I just installed a Mustang Wide Solo with the wide rear pillion on my bike this afternoon. Paula and I only got to ride about 30 miles so, I can't really comment on it for long distance comfort. It was pretty nice, however, on the short ride this evening!
It's a tough choice to make becuase everyone's idea of comfortable (not to mention our bodies!) is different.
Sundowner is very comfortable for driver and passenger. Its just butt ugly! Quality could be better. Not even close to the Corbin; but, comparable to Mustang. Did I say its really ugly?

I'm considering a mustang or a sundowner.. something I can do some miles (300+ per day) on that isn't too fluffy thick that I'm raised up like a police bike or something.. currently using a little lapera solo with the gel option (kills my a@#) if that tells you the seat I'm looking to replace.. The stock seat is even worse.. hard as a rock.
Can you elaborate about the quality of the sundowner/corbin/mustang comparison?
From what I've read on mustang's site, they use some serious metal under plating, and I've heard lots of praise about the corbins.. What makes the corbin's stand out for you? I did get to sit on one at their small booth at myrtle beach and it was pretty cool, though I don't remember the model. Seems like their models are limited if you just want a decent 2-up seat without paying for extras like a backrest mount.. but I'm not opposed to either brand if I know they're better for one thing or another.. Still learning on what's out there.

DMSC,
How's the seating height compared to stock on that heritage?
I'm taking note having sat on a friends 03 heritage.. a little higher than the stock seat on my fatboy but it's more of a tour seat as is.
I assume you mean the Mustang Wide Vintage Solo.
The Sundowner is a vinyl seat like most stock HD seats. It size is relatively proportional for the driver, but the passenger mount is really bulbous (it has wings that stick out wider than the fender). Very comfortable and loved by passengers. The base is typical fiberglass with the cover stapled to it. The Mustangs are similar. The Corbins are leather and use a proprietary foam that requires a "break-in period. Also very comfortable. The Corbin pan is covered with a nice fabric which hides all the inner workings and doesn't overly mar finishes.
The HD leather seats are also a good bet. They are marketed as "Custom Seats" in the HD catalog.
