Go with the apes! I just got my 12.5 Black Wild chubbies the other day and love the way they look with my springer front ends. Bike isnt done so I havent ridin it yet but if it rides like it looks, i will be happy.
Rek, I'll throw up a picture of the exhaust. It's an exile shotgun, quality is second to none and NO ONE else has one!
The sissy bar is actually the stock hd one. I've seen a welded chain bar on someone's bike on here that was sweet.
Yeah man, your bike looks good, nice details. so I'm about 5'11" and I was thinking about some wild 1 16's specifically for the springer models, what is the difference between the reg apes and the chubbies? Just diameter. Also, looking at my bike do you think black or chrome would look good, its got kind of a mix now. Thinking of getting some V & H fishtails put on too.
I went with the black on mine and love the look. I think on your bike I would go with chrome though. These are my 12 1/2". They didnt fit perfect though. I did have to grind the edges of the bars where the mounts line up to the clamping area. My risers were too fat to fit.
Here is a horrible pic and yes it is in winter mode and it is still not done yet and it is getting warm.
i went from apes to drags, much much better. if you want a set of apes mine are for sale 12.5 wild ones
Nice springer. How are the drags better? just curious. I am real undecided on my bars so any input is good. I've looked at all the options in the thread so far and I'm still not real sure. How do you like rollin' with no front fender?
