Default New Tires ?

I am getting ready to take a long trip and I will end up putting around 3000 miles on and when I get back I will be ready for a new set of tires what is the best tire to go on a 2009 Heritage besides the Dunlops?

I own a rocker so it may ride the same... Did some extensive research (online, called 3 different companies, posted here on the forum etc..) and found that the Dunlops have the most longevity, with that said Im sure there are some disagreement but thats what I came up with. The dunlops on the rocker just plain suck. I went with mix match Cobra on rear and Avon on front right before the winter. I have not put enough miles on her since but noticed an immediate comfort / smooth enhancement. Mezzlers seem to be an intermediate tire (good grip and decent longevity) while Avon's lean more to performance (outstanding grip) but maybe a little on the downside for longevity. Sorry for the wordy response. I would do your own research, we all have different expectations out of tires (and opinions) best is to gather the facts from the manufacturers although they all lie.

On my 08 Rocker the dealer ship had to replace the front tire with it having only around 1200 miles mile and the rear tire was junk.I am leaning toward the Mezzlers.

If you haven't tried the Dunlop Elite 3's you are missing out on the best tire available in my humble opinion.

I put my money where my mouth is. I put one on the front of my Night Train and was so impressed by it I changed out the stock Dunlop tires on my bagger with them even though there was still had half the tread life on 'em. Night and day difference in handling. They have dual compound rubber. Harder in the middle and softer on the sides.

Lots of people like the Metzelers though too.

I just went to Mezzlers web site and they only have the front tire The rear tire is different My Front ( MT90B16 72H) / Rear (150/80B16 71H)
And on there site Front MT90B16 M/C72HTL ME 880 MARATHON Front - 36 PSI
And Rear 160/80 B 16 M/C 75H TL ME 880 MARATHON - 40 PSI
Now that realy sucks!!
