My 1st mod was simple. Got rid of the heel shifter and capped off the end. Nothing major. Since then, I've added a shifter peg, brake pedal, hand grips (all matching), chain inspection cover, chrome voltage regulator cover and valve stem caps. Next phase will be adding Kuryakyn Mark III Cruise Arms (with foot pegs to match shifter/brake/grips), footboard inserts (matching of course ), passenger footboards to match rider footboards.....hell, I could go on forever, but will stop here.
1 st.?????? hhhmmmm. I think it was to tie a string on the carburater do hickey on my mini bike so it would run wide open about a million years ago when I was 10 years old. [8D]
I have an 06 Fatboy, Brandywine with laced wheels. My first major mod was exhaust, SE A/C Kit, and Download. I followed up with a seat and now 12.5" apes. I added a lot of smaller stuff along the way, engine guards, board inserts, side covers, etc.
I reccomend going with exhaust, SE A/C Kit and either a race tuner or Power Commander III (if the bike is fuel injected). The download is regulated to meet EPA specs and the bike still runs a little lean. I am getting the race tuner or PC III when I upgrade my engine with a big bore kit.
I wanted the "Harley Sound" so thats what motivated me.
