The first thing I added was a bobtail fender rack, then a leather tank panel then on to the inspection cover, handle bar clamp and then finally slip-ons and Bis Sucker.
The first mod to my Vivid Black '05 Night Train was the removal of the huge, ugly, crooked metal gas tank emblems. This mod saved me a couple of thousand dollars in custom paint. I got Vivid Black because it was free and I had intended to have a custom paint job done, but when I removed those heinous emblems and stood back for a look, I was stunned that such a seemingly small thing could make such a huge difference. When I sent pics of the bike to a non-Harley biker friend, he thought it was a full custom bike. If this "mod" had cost money, it would have been well worth it. As it turned out, it ended up paying for custom wheels and a blacked-out front end. Cool!
