My brand new 06 NT came out of the HD dealer with new front wheel and Handlebars, the day after that I changed the footpegs, mirrors and grips. Today if I list everything I did (and still doing) maybe this page does not fit...
Bought the machine July 05. First items were engine guard, Stage 1 air filter and reflash, SE11 slip ons. I had the dealer remove the pillion seat and sissy bar. That is how I picked it up. As soon as I got it home I trimmed the windshield about 2 inches. Then came a windshield bag, a helmet lock, and leather fringed lever covers. Air deflectors on the front. (These work great!) Then a LePera Monterrey Regal Plush solo seat. A Harley tank cover with pouch. Harley black leather weave instrument cluster cover. (Cuts reflections from sun). A luggage rack. A Harley tool bag. Saddlebag guards. The brake light kit from Harley that makes the rear turn signals part of the brake lights. Larger, brighter turn signal indicators on the dash. A handle bar mounted tachometer. New Harley handle grips. Howard's air horns. Replaced the SEII slip ons (too loud) with Harley Torque mufflers. Replace the Torque mufflers (still too loud) with stock mufflers with 3/8 inch hole drilled in the cap plug inside muffler. (Nice sound!) Installed "Got Saggy Bags". (These work just like they say!) New rear tire at 10,000 miles. Just put my name in 1/2 inch script letters (yellow vinyl) on the RH top of the fuel tank.
This machine now has 11,500 miles on it and it just gets sweeter and sweeter!
SE AC and download, Bags, windshield, engine guard, and had the seat altered.
Waited for the pipes til I was sure of what I wanted....ended up doing them right before the 1000 mile service.
You can see all the changes I did by looking at my gallery, it starts from the bike I brought home...then shows the second day I had it, then 3 months later.
