I took the license plate bracket off the fender. Had some 5/16 threaded rod laying around. Had to buy a 3 foot piece of 1/2 pipe at the Home Depot. They also sell 5/16 jam nuts in a bag for .98 cents. Welded the 1/2 pipe to the back side of the license plate bracket. Inserted the threaded rod threw the pipe and cut to length. Ran the turn signal wire threw the upper mounting hole in the fender of the license plate bracket and plugged them back into the tail light. Oh I spent 5 bucks on a can of gloss black spray paint. I looked at mounting a turn signal bar off a Streetglide but just couldnt pull the trigger on $152. So I sat there one night drinking a beer and came up with that idea. A little redneck engineering....lol.
Thanks for the information. Nothing wrong with redneck engineering. I did it with my passing lights and I'm making my own hard mount bracket for my saddlebags right now. I would rather spend hours working on my bike then spend a lot of money on something and pay someone else to put it on.
I have to find something to use as inserts, where the police sticker used to be. I have looked on Ebay, and seen the Owens line of products but dang they sure are proud of there stuff. Just want something chrome to put in there. I will find something eventually.
