Default Exhaust for 2007 Deluxe

I am thinking about replacing my stock mufflers with some slip ons. I'd like to find some SE II's but I don't know which ones fit my bike. I noticed some good deals on Cycle Shacks are available. Does anyone have any feedback on those? Any other recommendations?

A friend of mine bought some V&H slip ons from www.realhog.com for like 225 shipped. The have a nice deep sound, not too loud but not quiet. They have a few good deals there. Something to check out anyway.

Default exhaust

My neighbor just had v&h put on his heritage. They look great, have the same diameter as the header pipes so look very smooth. The sound is deep but not overbearing. Funny, the dealer recommended these over the HD SE's. He actually took us through the service area and fired up different bikes so we could hear the dif. So, try and see if your localHD will do that, then you canactually get to hear what some sound like.

I have the Cycle Shacks on my '06. I bought it used and they were already on. I'm changing out to Longshots, but really like the sound of these. It probably should have been tuned as I get a little crackle, but we sort of like that here in NY...lol.

I went with slash cut SEs that I got from someone on the forum. They're ok. I got them for like $150 or something. I can't see paying full price for nice slip ons over just doing a full exhaust...

Thanks for the replies. I'd do the V&H deal for $225 shipped but I can't find them. Maybe they were running a special. Plutnicki...agree with you. I would like to find a nice set of used slip ons if I can. I may sell this bike soon but in the meantime I kind of wanted to see what it would do with a new breather, exhaust and PCIII. I have the breather and PCIII, now I just need a better exhaust that isn't too loud.

They change sales every week, just keep an eye on the site. Also, if you have a part number, check out mandmcycles.com as well. Mark offers some sweet deals. Usually 10 to 20% lower than manufacturer and a great guy to deal with. Good luck man.
