Aloha All, Just an update to a Problem that was hard to diagnose. My bike(an 06 softail standard) started to miss and die while I was on a Sunday Ride.
Symptoms: Stalling, dying (as if out of Gas),and Surging. I checked the fuel and lines, all good, Did a Diagnostic check and came up with the codes: 1351, and 1354, both coil codes of either low or no spark. Did the logical thing and replaced the Coil. No help! The codes cleared up but no fix. I was told that the MAP module is bad because it controls the advance curve in the carb models. changed it out, not the issue.
I bought the Dynatek module for my model and it Fired right up, and runs great. So if you should have the same problem find a friend that has the same year as yours and swap out the module and see if that solves your problem, I don't have anyone that has the same model so I lost a few bucks in search of my fix. Hope this helps some of you. I guess there's no code for a failed Ignition Module.
