Default D.G. Butt Crack Solo... Your thoughts?

Just wondering what you all thought about the Butt Crack solo from Danny Gray. Does the "contoured" seating area cause you any discomfort? How's the lower back support?

I have never ridden with one but have been eyeing it for a while. Just as soon as the cash comes along I am thinking I am going to pull the trigger. My other seat looks a bit worn although I love it too. Drew

I really like mine. Have had it for almost a year.....good for hopping around town, and short trips. Not great for 200+ mi days.

I thought it sucked. Sent mine to get memory foam by Mean City Cycles. Much better now. It is ok for round town trips.

My D.G. two up seat is GREAT! However, with this solo, what concerns me is the ridge... I can see possible discomfort to my "centered" nether regions.

Can you PM me the info on the seat/foam mod?

Couldn't tell you about the gel but with the foam it is much better. I have put a couple hundred miles on it since and I do not get *** burn anymore. I don't find myself shifting around anymore. For $100 bucks and a quick turn around Mean City Cycles is the way to go. They are a site sponsor I think.

I've had mine for three years now. I think I got one of the first for the 2007 softtails. It is a great seat. The center contour is not really evident once you sit on the seat. It is not a seat for really long rides but it is good for an hour or two. I would not swat out a DG built seat for a foam rebuild. Get a foam seat instead for those longer rides... or invest in a better seat to begin with.
