If you want duals, you almost have to go with fishtails to get the old school look. If you want right side pipes, I think the Sidewinders are a cool look or maybe the renegades. Not sure if the Sidewinders come in ceramic black, but the renegades do.
I am converting my 2000 Fatboy to and old skool deluxe. (black paint with red white pinstriping, red wheels with white walls.
Question. I am trying to decide on some new pipes for the bike. I have been thinking about some Samsons (Legend Series in Sinister Ceramic Black "Slashers). Can anyone let me know what they think about these pipes or any other recommendations? I want to stay with the 2 into 2 set up and on a loudness scale of 1 to 10 (1 being stock HD and 10 being straight pipes), I like something in the 5-7 scale.
I love the way that those slashers are contour with the swingarm of the softail. I had em' on my sig pic with BCT baffles in em' and they were excellent, before I decided to go with a 2-1, and really didn't notice any power change!! I was real happy with the Samson short slashers and the BCT baffles. Great combination!!
Definately, then you could bump your shins on them everytime you walked around them, not to mention backing them into the curb when you backed up, oh yeah!!
