Pipe Decision for old skool Deluxe
Back in the 60's-70's most riders couldn't afford a lot of chrome and painted their 'custom' exhaust with VHT black! 'Drag' pipes were the rage then (straight or up swept), depending on wheather you had a 'full chopper' or just a 'modified'. You saw a lot of 'fish tails' on stocker Pans & Knucks. Tulip Vase mufflers off of 'Limey' bikes were popular also.
* I bought all new tins and they are being custom painted in a satin black with some 60's pinup artwork (kind of like the "chance" series from harley but with a little more custom artwork. The red in the tank artwork will match the wheels

*I have red wheels with white whall tires coming in from ride wright (just a little darker than the standard red)
* It should be finished with some suttle red/white pinstriping. Some on tank, fenders etc, but nothing to take over the bike.
* The front sliders and tins will be black
* I am keeping my chrome handlebars(like Fatboy stock), however I have replaced a lot of the chrome with black controls and black winged control levers)
* New Klassic style pulleys and rotors.
The only items I have left to find are a better air cleaner than the old harley egg shell(mine is a 103) and some pipes.
Thanks for the feedback.....
PS. DOES ANYONE KNOW if I buy the Vance and Hines pipes does that little logo piece they stick on the pipes come off...I think its tacky.
