Yep I highly recommend Fuelmoto as well. When your ready give them a call and they go the extra mile to set you up with your needs, pre program your tuner as per your bikes specs and give you life time service.
There's nothing wrong with drilling out your baffles till you decide what you want to get for pipes. Easy and you don't have to remove your pipes. An electric drill with a long 1/2 or 3/4 bit up the pipe and you are done. The thing about losing back pressure is baloney.
You don't have any thing to lose and many have done this as an interim solution. Doesn't sound as good as a slip on but sounds way better than stock
I agree about the beige color; it's not an ugly color but it just doesn't look right on a Harley, especially a Fat Boy. I think they're trying to get the attention of foreign bike lovers. I wish they would just realize if they dropped their ridiculous service fees for basic things like oil changes, they would increase their business at least by 25%.
First post and pics (if they upload)...Get a ton of great ideas on here, I've had Shelby just over a year now. Just ordered a pair of V&H Slip ons that should be here this week and added the blacked out turn signals since these pics. Only other mods have been the swingarm bag, laydown plate, digital gas tank and customized trim for the back (when the new grips were put on the jackass dented the back)...Besides the pipes, I would like to add apes, just wondering how credible the sites that sell the whole package are (i.e. hillcountry)...from earlier posts, I had thought of adding the curved pullback risers, not sure how much that would lift the stock bars though and if I would need new cables. All advice is good advice!

HillCountry is decent, i'm in the same market for the winter, and so far i think i've found LAChoppers to have the best prices together (bars, risers, and cables). Though if i could find the risers on ebay or something cheaper, that'll be cool too
I've still got my old saddlebags for sale in the classifieds section. Priced now at 300.00. They come with a 12 volt outlet already installed in the right saddlebag.
So I haven't posted here in a really long time, so I figured I'd check in. I don't even remember where I left off in this thread, but I am glad to see it is still goin' strong!
Not much new, I have been putting money into my other toy, so I haven't really done much to the Lo (and I'm too busy riding the damn thing to do stuff to it anyways). I expect that I'll be throwing a Shotgun shock and some bags on it this winter (I think I said this last year too, but for real this time) including some springer bags and a trunk bag. I may be ditching the backrest in favor of said trunk bag, but I'm not sure yet. I am also PCSing from way over here on the east coast in Virginia to New Mexico here in about a month, so I am pretty stoked about that.
Jose: So what is the deal with Hog Deluxe?? I was thinking about getting the Springer bags from them, but you have me a little worried...
