I'm supposed to get my bike back from HD tomorrow I installed forward controls and after reading about the ABS issues, and a warranty issue (two oil vent tubes broken from unknown reason not caused by the install). HD found and are installing the extended brake line and charging the ABS system. I'll more than likely call JD and set an appointment for next week. My wife just signed up for OT on my days off this week so gotta watch the "chitlins". JD and company are a great bunch of guys (and gals). Look forward to getting a shotgun installed.

Did you not have to install an extended brake line from before? I'm confused how this would have worked initially. I also don't have ABS so I'm not sure whats different with the install. Sweet
Installed everything at once. So I was waiting to install the line until I figured out how long I needed it to be. Before I was running the stock floor boards. While looking under the bike to track back the brake line noticed the break in the vent tubes (I'll see if I still have a picture of them).
As far as the ABS I had read in several places (on here and otherwise) that HD did some BS with the ABS so if you change your lines you have to have them charge the system or what nots, otherwise it'll pop an ECM code and potentially void the warranty. Since it was in for the vent tubes I said screw it and let them deal with the brake line change out. Works been killing me with "mandatory over time" so doing everything my self (with help from friends) was going to take longer than I could stand for being off my bike.

So I got my girl back from the shop. She needs a good bath but damn what a difference getting rid of the floor boards has made. I have a few more mods I want to make in the short time. The alloy art rear turn signals I have are great but I've never liked how they mount. I got some new strut covers on eBay in going to cut up and make them more flush mounted. As well as a few other ideas I'm kicking around.
like the seat, i think a couple of good sized puddles and you'll want the front fender back on. hated my pegs, feet were always looking for a good position, love my floor boards! how well does the fuel gauge work? accurate?
With the new pegs my stock fender won't fit. Gonna find a new one and cut it down. Don't get many puddles in Southern California but any things possible. Fuel gauge works fine. Never really pay to much attention to it, just fuel up every 120 miles or so regardless of where it's at.

Love the seat. Cool contrast. When you remove the front fender don't you get lots of spray back from water and dirt?
